Pediatric Infectious Diseases HVTN and VTEU Vaccine Trials Faculty Position
The Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Duke University is recruiting for an Assistant or Associate Professor level faculty member to build Duke as a new HIV Vaccine Trials Network (HVTN) site, as well as expand the existing Duke Vaccine and Treatment Evaluation Unit (VTEU). The position will oversee clinical trials in vaccinology and have the benefit of membership in the expansive Duke Human Vaccine Institute and the infrastructure of a large available vaccine research enterprise.
In addition to developing the programs above, this clinician will assist the other division faculty in coverage of the inpatient consult service, outpatient clinic coverage, and assistance with fellow, resident, and medical student education. Qualified candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent, be board-certified or board-eligible in pediatric infectious diseases, and have experience with clinical trials and vaccinology. Salary and level of appointment will be commensurate with experience. Start date is negotiable, but approximately July 1, 2017.
