About
The Statistical and Data Management Center (SDMC) is under the direction of Scott Evans, PhD, George Washington University with support from Toshimitsu (Toshi) Hamasaki, Lauren Komarow and Carol Hill.
The SDMC consists of a Statistics and Data Analysis Center in the Biostatistics Center at the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health, and a Data Management and Informatics Center located at the Duke Clinical Research Institute.

Mission
- To ensure ARLG studies are designed, conducted, and analyzed with optimal scientific integrity by providing expert statistical and data monitoring leadership throughout the study lifecycle (study design, data monitoring, analyses, interpretation, and reporting).
- To advance the ARLG mission by enhancing the scientific value and efficiency of ARLG studies through development and implementation of innovative practical methods for the design, data monitoring, analyses and reporting of ARLG studies.
The SDMC achieves its mission through:
- Experienced personnel rooted in rigorous fundamentals
- Novel methodologies of design and implementation
- Representation and integration with ARLG Leadership and committees
- Cross-protocol standardization and harmonization
